Mold Remediation

It can be difficult to know what to do when faced with a mold problem.  Mold can be found almost anywhere; it can grow on virtually any organic substance, as long as moisture and oxygen are present.  When excessive moisture accumulates in buildings or on building materials, mold growth will often occur, particularly if the moisture problem remains undiscovered or unaddressed.

There are many different types and colors of mold.  Some types are easily recognizable and will leave you with little doubt that you have a mold problem.  Other times, you may suspect hidden mold if a building smells moldy, but you cannot see the source, or if you know there has been water damage and residents are reporting health problems such as wheezing, coughing, sinusitis, headaches, fatigue or other respiratory symptoms.  In either situation, your best course of action is to consult a professional like Associated Building Wreckers.

Our 4-tier approach to mold remediation will ensure that your home or building is free from any toxic mold:

  1. Health & Safety: As with any job we undertake, safety of our customers, employees and the environment is our number one concern. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and containment ensure both worker and occupant safety.

  2. Source Control: Even the best mold remediation efforts would be in vain if the source of the water or humidity was not located and corrected.

  3. Mold Control: In order to prevent cross contamination, we utilize dust suppression, HEPA vacuums, negative air machines and containment barriers.

  4. Mold Removal: Every effort is made to clean the affected areas, however when it can’t be confirmed that the mold has been completely removed, that material has to be disposed of.
